Exhibition – Anne & Martin Müller

At Messina Palace, 141, Triq San Kristofru, Valletta
Saturday, 15th April – Saturday, 13th May 2017

Anne MullerAn interdisciplinary project by the collective title MEDIATRIXISM presented by Martin and Anne Müller as part of the Valletta International Visual Arts Festival (VIVA) 2017. Anne Müller’s “Maria and me“ is about the complex roles that women in society play on the island of Gozo, as opposed to the new opportunities they have at their disposal today. The work is exhibited as a collection of Polaroid photos combined with abstract poetic quotations together with a video visualization.

On the other hand, Martin Müller’s “Dito” revolves around the philosophical and anthropological reality on Gozo. His works portray the relationship between history, culture, civil society and society on Gozo through photos of everyday life. The photos will be presented as diptychs as well as triptychs together with films and archives.
On Tuesday, 18th April, starting at 20:00 hours, Anne Müller will also give a contemporary visual art solo performance at Messina Palace with the title “Heaven in inside, Heaven is outside”.  Drinks will follow. Entrance free.
