The Library has over 5,000 books on its shelves. These are grouped in sections such as Music & Art, History & General Knowledge, Biographies, Poetry, Sport, Cities & Landeskunde, Melitensia, Novels & Prose, Easy Readers, Literature, Religion, Hobbies, Health, Political, General Reference and Didactic. All books except the ones grouped under reference can be borrowed for a specified period of time by members of the German-Maltese Circle and by teachers of German. Besides, the Library is equipped with a more than 1,300 feature and documentary films on DVD, as well as with about 300 audio-Cds including Hörbücher.
Translations: Requests for translations from English or Maltese to German and vice-versa are accepted.
Photocopying: Photocopying (in monochrome) can be made against a small per-sheet charge and subject to copyright restrictions.
Textbooks: Textbooks recommended for use in the German language courses organised by the German-Maltese Circle are on sale from the Library.
Posters: A variety of posters in all sizes are available free of charge upon request. The themes are Germany, its Länder, its culture, its people, its institutions, its art, etc.
Internet: Free WiFi service is available for members.
Another section of the Library is the Archive which houses about 900 volumes mostly written in the old Gothic style along with some other old German books. Use of this section is limited to specialised requests.
The German-Maltese Circle offers its services for the translation of all sort of documents from English and Maltese to German and vice-versa. Our certified translations are recognised by local and overseas entities.

The German-Maltese Circle’s premises in Valletta is ideal for the holding of exhibitions and in fact Messina Palace is regularly used by Maltese and German artists for this purpose. Exhibitions can be set up in the restored basement or in rooms situated on the first floor.
