All applicants are required to state their choice of class upon registration. Please take note of your choice – no individual reminders will be issued. Our staff will be pleased to help you choose your course, though no responsibility is accepted for the final choice which must be made by the individual student.
Enrolment for any class will close once the maximum number of students in that class is reached. Bookings cannot be accepted by telephone. The German-Maltese Circle reserves the right to cancel any course if it is under-subscribed.
Schoolchildren and persons under 14 years of age cannot be registered for the courses for adults.
The membership fee is included in the course fee. Membership to the German-Maltese Circle is obligatory for all applicants. Membership entitles applicants to the free use of the Library facilities and to the free access to most of the Circle’s activities.
The fee for each course is indicated against each course listed. The course fee is to be paid in advance upon enrolment. All course fees are exclusive of textbook and examination fees. Fees cover all lessons for the course applied to.
FEES PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR WHATEVER REASON ONCE THE COURSES COMMENCE.
FEES (IN PART OR IN WHOLE) CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO COURSES STARTING IN ANOTHER ACADEMIC YEAR.

Online sessions may be suspended during the Christmas and the Easter period as well as on Public Holidays. Your tutor will inform you of such instances.
At the end of each course, applicants will be able to sit for an examination consisting of a written and of an oral session leading to a Goethe Institute Certificate. Goethe Institute examinations are well known throughout the world and the associated certificates are accepted as a qualification by employers and further education institutions in many countries.
For students who do not sit for an examination or for students who fail their examination, a Certificate of Attendance can be issued upon request if the applicant would have attended to at least 75% of the total number of lessons held throughout the year.
External applicants can assess their German language competence prior to enrolment to any course above the Grundstufe (A1), by doing an online multiple choice test. Click here to proceed.
