PONT – Atelier 10

A Maltese – German project including workshops, talks and studio visits giving new life to the art of Lithography within a Maltese context, creating an informed energy and momentum around the medium. Inviting Katarina Kranz, a contemporary German practising Lithographer to work alongside two contemporary Maltese artists to discover, and experiment with, the language of Lithography on stone.

1. To revive the art of lithography within a local context.
2. To induce enthusiasm around the medium whilst giving the opportunity to other artists interested in the medium to have hands-on experience using lithography.
3. To start a dialogue between local artists and international artists.
4. To create a space which stimulates collaboration and positive responses between participating artists and promotes experimentation and expression.
5. To create a new body of artistic work, using lithography, with quality at the core of the work.
