The Mediterranean has been the cradle of civilization and monotheistic religions and prospered through trade and interaction between cultures. The exhibition presents an examination of images and impressions “in the middle of“ the Mediterranean.
Antje Liemann is looking for pictures that depict history and stories from the Mediterranean region. Objects found at maltese flea markets, mostly brought to the island from abroad, are processed. Historical paintings and maps are used as inspiration.
