Presenting Andriana Yordanova (soprano) and Ania Druml (Piano)
Andriana Yordanova, is an established soprano and voice teacher and holds a Masters in Opera singing and Vocal pedagogy and a Ph.D. in Music. She won scholarships for European Opera Trust in England, Academy “Boris Christoff” in Rome and bursaries from “Kraft Jacobs Suchard”. A winner of competitions, member of international judging boards, she lectured at the University of Malta at the National Academy of Music, Sofia and acts as independent evaluator of National Qualifications which are being accredited against the MQF.
Her repertoire ranges from Italian, French, German and Russian operatic roles to operettas, Baroque and Sacred music, Lieder and modern composers. Her career brought her from Bulgaria to Egypt, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Italy, Austria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Hungary, UK, Dubai. Since 2001 she made Malta her second home. She is passionate about the Maltese-Bulgarian relationships in Culture and Music, works with young and upcoming opera singers and actively promotes Maltese classical vocal music. Yordanova held numerous Masterclasses for young Opera singers in Malta and abroad.
In 2019 she was nominated for the most prestigious Bulgarian Award in Music for achievement – Crystal Lyre. Currently she is teaching voice technique at Malta School of Music and Opera Studio at Mikiel Anton Vassalli College as well as performing in Malta and abroad.
Ania Druml studied cello since the age of 6 years with Christophe Pantillon and Maria Grün and piano at the University of Performing Arts (mdw) in Vienna with Alma Sauer and Vladimir Kharin. Currently she is a student there of Reinhard Latzko and Stefan Vladar with both instruments.
She received numerous prizes and awards which led her, apart from concerts, to China, Germany, France, Italy, Malta, Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the USA.
Recently she performed Mozart’s piano concerto KV 414 with the Bruno Walter Symphony under Jack Martin Händler in Bratislava and the Junge Philharmonie Wien at the Musikwochen Millstatt under Michael Lessky. In October 2020, Ania gave her debut together with her sister Sophie in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein and the Grosse Festspielhaus in St. Pölten. 2022 marked her debut in the Grand Hall of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg together with tenor Piotr Beczala and also in the Tonhalle Düsseldorf. In 2022 she was invited to the Geneva International String Academy with Peter Bruns and to the Kronberg Academy, where she took part in the cello master classes with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt as an active participant.
