Julia Spies, mezzo-soprano, and Jesse Flowers, guitar, met as a result of their successes at the German National Music Competition 2016. As ‘Duo Amaris’, they performed close to twenty song recitals as part of the 61. National Concert for Young Artists 2017/18 season. In Autumn 2019 they released their debut CD under the label PASCHEN records, with works by Schubert, de Falla, Debussy and Granados. Born in Sydney to an Australian-Chinese father and German mother, Flowers who is currently based in Berlin ,is developing a reputation as an exciting talent amongst the next generation of classical guitarists. With her exceptional interpretations of art song Julia Spies (born in Heidelberg) has been recognised at multiple music competitions in Germany and abroad.
Entrance is complimentary but seats must be reserved online.
Children under 14 years of age will not be admitted.
