German language classes for schoolchildren

The German-Maltese Circle announces its 2018-2019 courses in German for schoolchildren.  These courses are run under the supervision of trained and professional tutors in classrooms equipped with latest technology equipment aimed at enhancing further interest in German. All lessons are held on Saturday morning.

These courses are recommended for children in Secondary Schools who are learning German and want additional support towards improving their know-ledge of the language and aiming at better results in their German examinations.

Concurrently, these courses are also recommended for children who wish to learn German and obtain certificates in German but, who for some reason or other, are not learning German at their school.

All courses lead to the SEC examination as well as to the FIT in Deutsch and B1 certificate examinations of the Goethe Institute.

Note: These lessons are open for children who already study German at school AND for children who are not learning German at school.

We accept payment of course fees by instalment.

First lesson is on Saturday, 6th October 2018
The fees cover ALL lessons for one scholastic year – October 2018 – June 2019

The fee is not inclusive of any textbooks, which must be purchased from the German-Maltese Circle at the beginning of the course. Handouts are provided throughout the course free of charge. All fees paid are not refunded once the course starts.

Enrolment:
Fill in and sign the Application Form and return it to the German-Maltese Circle along with the relative payment. Or else, call personally at the Circle’s office, which is open between Monday and Friday from 9.00a.m. till 12.30p.m. and from 4.30p.m. till 8.00p.m. and on Saturday between 9.00a.m. and 12.30p.m.

Enrolment for any class will close once the maximum number of students in that class is reached.

Membership

Permanent and temporary residents in Malta of German or Maltese nationality, not below the age of 18 years of age are eligible for membership to the German-Maltese Circle. Bona fide students between the ages of 14 and 18 are accepted as Junior Members.

The Library at the German-Maltese Circle is named after Dorothea von Wendland, the wife of a former German Ambassador, who in the early 1970’s was instrumental in the setting up of a lending and reference library in the former premises of the Circle in Floriana.
