The Committee

The German-Maltese Circle is managed by an Executive Committee consisting of eleven members. The election by ballot of the President, Secretary, Treasurer and of six members takes place annually in January. Another post is reserved for a representative of Corporate Members. An official in charge of the German language courses is also co-opted within the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee takes charge as from the first day it is elected and remains in office until the next election takes place. Unless or otherwise stipulated in the Articles of Association, all paid-up members of the German-Maltese Circle can be nominated for election to the Executive Committee. Vacancies in the Committee during the year are filled by the members who at the last election polled the highest number of votes among those who failed to get elected, in the absence of which the Executive Committee has the right to co-opt any other eligible member.  

October 2002 - The Executive Committee paid a visit to the President of the Republic of Malta on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the German-Maltese Circle.
