The German-Maltese Circle's premises in Valletta are ideal for the holding of exhibitions and in fact Messina Palace is regularly used by Maltese and German artists for this purpose. 

General Regulations:

(a) The use of the exhibition rooms will be free of charge;

(b) The exhibits will remain on display only until such time and date as agreed beforehand between the artist and the German-Maltese Circle;

(c) The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge only during the normal opening hours of the Circle;

(d) The exhibits will be on display at the sole risk of the exhibitor and it is clearly understood that the German-Maltese Circle is not responsible for any loss or damage whatever the origin;

(e) The transport, framing and setting up of the exhibits (and their subsequent removal) will be the responsibility of the artist; 

(f) The German-Maltese Circle allows the sale of the exhibits while on display (subject to VAT regulations);

(g) The German-Maltese Circle does not charge any commission on the works of art sold;

(h) Prior to the removal of the Exhibition, the artist must leave to the German-Maltese Circle one of the works on exhibit as indicated by the German-Maltese Circle;

(i) Direct fixing of display material onto the walls is not allowed - the Circle has available a free standing panel system and a fixed wall-to-wall rail system;

(j) The artist will be responsible towards the reimbursement of expenses incurred by way of damage to the Circle's property arising out of actions - wilful or accidental related to the Exhibition;

(k) The German-Maltese Circle expects appropriate mention in all Public Relations material issued by the artist.

(l) The organization of an official opening event to the Exhibition is the sole responsibility of the artist but prior approval has to be obtained from the German-Maltese Circle with regards to the date, to the person who will be invited to open the Exhibition and to the actual programme content of the opening event.

(m) The German-Maltese Circle’s in-house catering service is to be used if the artist intends to offer food and/or beverage to invited guests attending the opening event.

(n) The interpretation and decision of the German-Maltese Circle will be final and binding on these conditions and on any other matter not here mentioned.
