German Language Courses at CEFR Levels C1 and C2

Course leading to the Goethe Institut Zertifikat C1 MQF Level 6 – Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree
Lessons of 180 minutes each on Fridays at 5.30p.m.
First lesson on Friday, 7th October
Course fee: €400,00

This course is open to students who have a B2 level in German and/or to those with an “A” level in German. After completion of this course, you can understand a wide range of sophisticated, long texts and can understand implicit meanings. You can use the language in social and professional situations or in training and study both effectively and flexibly. You can discuss complex topics in a thorough and structured manner.

Course leading to the Goethe Zertifikat C2 MQF Level 7 – Equivalent to a Postgraduate Diploma
Lessons of 2 hours each on Mondays & Thursdays at 6.00p.m.
First lesson on Monday, 3rd October
The first part of this course was held during the previous scholastic year.
Course fee: €500,00

This course, divided in two parts (spread over 2 years), is open to students who have a CEFR C1 level.  On completion of the whole course, you can effortlessly understand everything you hear or read. You can communicate spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, and are able to communicate nuances of meaning.

Membership

Membership

Permanent and temporary residents in Malta of German or Maltese nationality, not below the age of 18 years of age are eligible for membership to the German-Maltese Circle. Bona fide students between the ages of 14 and 18 are accepted as Junior Members.

Dance Performance "Open Waters"

The German-Maltese Circle organises various activities such as exhibitions, film shows, cultural tours, forums, lectures, seminars, concerts, choral performances by visiting German choirs, chanson evenings, social and sports events and in fact, anything which helps to make especially the Maltese public more conscious of German culture and the German way of life.

The Library at the German-Maltese Circle is named after Dorothea von Wendland, the wife of a former German Ambassador, who in the early 1970’s was instrumental in the setting up of a lending and reference library in the former premises of the Circle in Floriana.
