Dr Caroline Gudenus, Ambassador of Austria on the theme "Ein Vorhang geht auf - Mit der Drahtschere gegen die Trennung Europas" - The abolishing of the Iron Curtain between Austria and its neighbouring countries in June 1989 marked the beginning of the end of Europe's division and eventually led to the Fall of the Berlin Wall.
